Why It Matters

The holidays can bring joy — but also pressure — for families facing financial hardship. For many households in under served communities, the question of how to provide a holiday meal or gifts for children is a source of real stress. Critical federal supports like SNAP and WIC are often disrupted at precisely the time families need them most.

The Holiday Dinner Basket Surprise ensures that families can gather with dignity, nourishment, and care. By delivering complete holiday meal baskets and gifts directly to families through trusted community partners, the program reduces stress and restores joy at a moment when it matters most.
