EMPOWERING THE FUTURE

EMPOWERING THE FUTURE

Education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking cycles of inequity. The Malcolm Jenkins Scholars program provides financial support, mentorship, and life-skills training to help students not only access higher education, but thrive within it. Through initiatives like the Malcolm Jenkins Visionary Impact Scholarship at The Ohio State University and our Project R.E.W.A.R.D.S.® program for New Orleans seniors, we prioritize first-generation students, those with financial need, and those who have overcome significant challenges. By investing in their education, leadership, and resilience, we are fueling the next generation of innovators and changemakers.

Closing the Wealth Gap (Financial Literacy)

Financial literacy is not a privilege—it’s a necessity. Closing the Wealth Gap is a semester-long program created in partnership with Money Vehicle that equips middle school, high school and college students with the knowledge and tools to make informed financial decisions. Covering topics like saving, budgeting, credit, and investing, the program helps young people understand money as a tool for opportunity rather than a barrier to it. By preparing students and families with skills for lifelong financial success, we are tackling systemic inequities head-on and creating pathways to economic mobility.

Partner with us to bring financial literacy to more classrooms and communities.

Holiday Dinner Basket Surprise

Every holiday season, the Malcolm Jenkins Foundation brings nourishment and joy to families who need it most. Since 2011, this initiative has delivered nearly 5,000 baskets filled with a turkey, fresh sides, and all the trimmings for a complete holiday meal. Families with young children also receive age-appropriate gifts and toys, ensuring that the season is not only about food, but also about creating warm, lasting memories. The Holiday Dinner Basket Surprise is more than a meal—it’s a reminder that every family deserves dignity, celebration, and community during the holidays.

Spread holiday cheer by sponsoring a basket, donating gifts, or volunteering to deliver meals.

Get Ready Fest®

Launched in 2014, Get Ready Fest® is a community-driven resource fair designed to combat food insecurity and strengthen families. Each participating household receives more than 60 pounds of nutritious groceries, but the support goes far beyond food. Families also access free health screenings, employment resources, senior and veteran support, and essential household items—all in one welcoming space. By partnering with local organizations and volunteers, Get Ready Fest® provides dignity, connection, and hope, while addressing the urgent needs of underserved communities.

Join us as a sponsor, volunteer, or partner to bring vital resources to families in need.

Power Pathway Academy®

The future of work is rapidly changing, and too many young people lack access to the skills and networks needed to succeed. Power Pathway Academy®—set to relaunch in 2026—prepares students for high-demand careers by combining digital learning, career exploration, and mentorship. Youth gain exposure to diverse industries, connect with professionals who reflect their own communities, and learn real-world skills that open doors to economic mobility. By bridging the gap between education and opportunity, Power Pathway Academy equips the next generation to lead with confidence in a modern workforce.

Help us relaunch Power Pathway by becoming a mentor, industry partner, or program sponsor.

G.L.O.W. (Greatness Lives in Our Words)

Every young person has a story worth telling—and the power to shape their own legacy. Launching in 2025, G.L.O.W. is a culturally responsive lab where students use storytelling, art, digital media, and game design to reclaim their narratives and celebrate identity. Through hands-on projects, they build 21st-century skills, strengthen cultural pride, and create content that uplifts their voices and communities. By empowering youth to lead as authors of their own stories, G.L.O.W. transforms creativity into a tool for belonging, leadership, and positive change.
