The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation Partners with PHILLIPS for a Historic Auction Supporting Youth Arts & Education Photo: Malcolm Jenkins & Gwendolyn V. Jenkins
In celebration of its 15th anniversary, The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation is proud to announce a groundbreaking collaboration with PHILLIPS for We’re In This Together—a benefit auction spotlighting the intersection of art, culture, and community impact.
The auction follows an event hosted by Jenkins with support from the NFLPA (National Football League Players Association) and PAF (Professional Athletes Foundation) this past February in tandem with Super Bowl LIX, where Phillips, Jenkins and TMJF joined forces in New Orleans to host a panel discussion on the topic of collecting fine art, watches, and jewels in addition to showcasing works from artists brought in for the Super Bowl festivities. This partnership marks the first time that the auction house has organized a Modern & Contemporary Art auction in partnership with a professional athlete.
Curated by Malcolm himself, We’re In This Together features extraordinary works generously donated directly by some of today’s most exciting contemporary artists—including Tavares Strachan, Adrian Armstrong, YoYo Lander, Hebru Brantley, Dominic Chambers, and Anthony Akinbola. These artists contributed pieces that speak to the richness, complexity, and imagination of the Black experience.
Each artwork is more than a collector’s item—it’s a contribution to a greater cause. All proceeds from the auction will benefit The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation’s youth development and arts education programs, supporting under-resourced communities through access, opportunity, and creativity.
“This partnership represents the convergence of culture, community, and purpose,” said Malcolm Jenkins. “Through this collection, we’re not just highlighting incredible contemporary art—we’re also investing in the next generation of creators, leaders, and storytellers.”
The auction is not just a celebration of TMJF’s 15-year legacy—it’s an invitation to shape what comes next. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or a supporter of youth empowerment, We’re In This Together offers a unique opportunity to own powerful works of art while making a lasting difference.
Ferguson Amo, Associate, Modern & Contemporary Art, said, “It is an honor to work with a multi-hyphenate such as Malcolm and The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation in raising funds and awareness for such a worthy cause. Malcolm’s generosity knows no bounds, and he has used his influence to promote positive change, creating innovative programs and opportunities for the youth in the communities his foundation serves. We are so grateful to him for his tireless work on this front and to all the artists who have graciously donated works of art to this endeavor.”
Among the works from the upcoming Day Sale of Modern & Contemporary Art to benefit The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation are Tavares Strachan’s We Are in This Together (Pink), Adrian Armstrong’s Luke 15:24, and Yoyo Lander’s Helen. Additional works will be announced in the lead-up to the sale.
Highlights from the group will be on view at Phillips Los Angeles from 22-24 April, followed by the public exhibition in New York from 3-13 May.
